CD/DVD Duplication

Last week an official in our government was caught buying pirated CD/DVD. Because of that he was once again in the limelight. He already became controversial because of the heavy firearms discovered in his service vehicle last year.

This morning i heard in the news that the said government official will not be axed from his post despite the protests against him. Well, if the government will tolerate such actions how can they pursue their drive against piracy.

Fast cd duplication is so prevalent nowadays because of our advanced technology. Duplicating CD/DVD’s is just so easy, if the top government officials will not take this matter seriously there’s no way they can solve this problem in piracy.

On my friend’s 40th birthday

My friend is turning 40 years old next month. She told me sh’es excited because of the old saying that life begins at 40, and at the same time quite sad because she feel that she already reached the age of 40 and yet she hasn’t accomplished that much in her life. It was her dream that when she reached the age of 40, she already have a house, a car, and had traveled in her dream places. But those are just little frustrations for her because they are just materials things, she’s actually happy because she has a loving husband and great kids and they have stable jobs which in due time will make them achieve their dreams and desires.

Anyway, i’m looking for 40th birthday gifts online, i want to find something unique to make her happy. I know the internet has a lot of diverse ideas for unique gifts. I want to give her a very special gift since she’s my childhood friend and she’s really very dear to me.

Transformation

I was talking to my officemate last time, he is a member of a certain religion in our country. He said they are having a hard time ministering to new members especially to men because when they ask them to follow the set of rules their church are implementing, men would usually follow at first but later on they will just stop attending because they cannot conform to the church rulings and systems.

I told him why it is difficult for a person to change or to stay in their religion. Because it is only the intention of religion that people be conformed to their system.

On the other hand, it is the intention of God that we are transformed from within. Transformation comes only if we have a true relationship with God. Transformation starts by accepting Jesus Christ as our Lord and personal Savior.

Be Prepared for Roadside Emergencies

These past days we are hearing an unusual sound in our car. I asked my husband what could be the problem and he said the sound is coming from the fan of car’s aircon. He said he’s not really sure so he’s planning to have it checked by auto mechanic. I told him to do it as soon as possible if he doesn’t want to experience trouble while travelling on the road.

Looking for breakdown service is not easy in our place, and that makes me worried. He is not really knowledgeable in car trouble shooting so if the car breakdown he will be totally helpless. That’s why it is really important to know what to do in case of car breakdown or or to be prepared in case of roadside emergencies.

Advantage of laser printer

We’re planning to buy a new laser printer. Right now we’re using inkjet printer at home which I got free from SmartBro renewal promo. But I was so dismayed when we bought new inks for replacement. The inks are so expensive! Then I realized even if we got the printer for free, still it is not practical to use it since my kids especially my daughter is using the printer most of the time for their school reports and projects.

I also learned from other inkjet users that compared to laser printers, the cost of printing on an inkjet printer is really high. With a laser printer we can even get greater savings if we refill the toner on our own. Other advantage of laser printer nowadays aside from being wireless and laser are its many extra features. You can do double sided printing and you can make booklets as well. From a 28 page document, you can save paper by printing into a booklet that only uses 7 pages.

Serving God through Music

When my daughter had her keyboard recital last summer, her brother and cousins was able to watch her and other kids playing different kinds of musical instruments. My son and nephew got interested in playing drum, while my niece got interested in playing double bass. Because of that their grandmother promised them that if they got goods grades at the end of this school year, she will enroll them all to music school next summer to learn to play drums and double bass. And so the kids were very happy and excited.

We didn’t have any regret when we spent money for our daughter’s keyboard lessons. Now she’s actively serving God in the music ministry in our Church. And as parents we are so proud of her.

Paper Tole Making

When I was in high school I love collecting stickers, stamps, stationery especially personalized stationery and any cute items like figurines. One time I saw a store in the mall with paper tole displays. I was fascinated and got so interested with them so I also tried making some of it.

Paper tole also known as three-dimensional decoupage is the process of taking identical prints or pictures, skillfully cutting, shaping, and then layering them on the ‘base’ print to give the finished piece its special 3-D effect. One of the most popular use of paper tole is to frame the image in a deep wall frame and display it as wall art.

Thoughts on Technical Recruiter Jobs

My daughter is going to college next year and I’m quite confused as to what college course is good for her to take. She’s good in computer so she likes to take up degree in Information Technology. However we’re kinda hesitant because based on reports the number of IT graduates here in our country is currently so big and yet the jobs available are very few. Unlike in US there are some Technical Recruiter Jobs who facilitate IT professionals to connect to companies for job. The technical recruiter can help a worker get their resume get noticed by the top hiring managers. They are able to know the best job opportunities ahead of the general public. In this case, before the companies post an ad on the local job boards, you could already have your resume in front of the right person in charge of hiring workers.

Anyway, I always tell my daughter to study harder and be serious when she goes to College. She can take her high school life light and easy but after that she should take her studies seriously. We tell her always that it will be very easy for her to land a good job if she finishes her studies with flying colors. Now if there’s one thing that keep me less worried is that I know my daughter is easy to discipline with. We raised her with the right relationship with God and having a Christ centered mind I’m confident that she has a bright future ahead of her.

Unfortunate incident

This morning when i arrived in our office i was welcomed with a bad news by our security guard. He told me that one of our casual driver had died from a motor accident last Saturday. Hayy how unfortunate. Anyway, i hope my husband will now change his mind because he’s planning to buy a motorcyle. I’m really not in favor of his plan because it is really dangerous to drive a motorcycle. You can be careful with your driving but how about the other drivers around?

But if ever he insists, i will also pursue with my plan to get him a life insurance. I already checked Wholesaleinsurance.net to study my options. I need to find the best yet affordable life insurance for him.
