Fireproof
One month ago I wrote about how God helped me overcome another storm in our married life. By his love and grace I was able to forgive my husband. I’m thankful that God always have something for me, it’s always at that right time. During the time that I almost gave up on our marriage a radio program aanounces they will be having a seminar and film showing for married couples. I decided to ask my husband to join me, he didn’t like it but I insisted so with a heavy heart he accompanied me.
We watched the film entitled Fireproof, a love story about a firefighter and his wife. The wife, Catherine thinks that divorce is the only answer for them since his husband Caleb a fire chief, can save everything but their marriage. But thru Caleb’s parents help and a challenge from a book called “The Love Dare” brought Caleb to his knees. Caleb valiantly fights to reignite the flame of passion to win back Catherine and restore their marriage. It was heart-warming, a very good movie.
Aside from the movie, we we’re inspired by the speaker’s message, it was an eye-opening. I’m thankful God lead us to attend that seminar because if not, our married life could be in misery right now.
meeting with the presidents
Remember my post about husband being elected as homeroom president? well, yesterday he already attended their first HS Executive Meeting. When he learned about the meeting he was really hesitant to attend, but i encouraged him and i’m glad he listened.
When he arrived home from the meeting he shared his experiences and observations. He said they discussed about the PTA association’s projects and activities lined up for this school year. There were deliberations during the discussion, some parents agree and some disagree on certain matters. To make the story short, when i asked husband on his opinion about the meeting, he said it was boring and that his attention was only focused on the netbooks he saw.^_^ Anyway inspite of not paying full attention he still managed to take note of the things discussed. It’s good he did because if not i will tease him to the max!:D
the president
My husband was elected president at my daughter’s Homeroom-PTA association the other day. He opposed the nomination but the parents really wanted him to take the position so he was elected. When he told me about it he was too worried, he said he’s never been elected as president in any organization in his entire life. He doesn’t want to be subjected to public speaking anxiety that’s why he refused so hard. I just encourage him and told him there’s nothing to worry, it’s just a small organization and he can handle it.
Anyway, a while ago i received a text message from the school principal informing all homeroom presidents that they have a meeting tomorrow. Hehe, I wonder how husband will react on this news. =)
