Thank you and farewell tita cory
I’m posting the video of Sza-Sza Padilla singing the song Hindi Kita Malilimutan during Tita Cory’s last funeral mass at Manila Cathedral.
To our beloved former president Corazon Aquino, we thank you for everything that you have done for our country, for giving us freedom and democracy, for your faithful service, and for being a true mother to all Filipinos.
Farewell Tita Cory! Indeed we will never forget you.
Poem turned song for Cory Aquino
The poem ” I Have Fallen in Love with the same Woman Three Times” written by late Senator Benigno Aquino to his wife former President Cory Aquino is now a very popular song. I love the lyrics and melody, when i first heard the song on television i was teary eyed.
Cory Aquino is a symbol of a woman of strength, a survivor mom and symbol of peace and democracy in our country.
We love you our beloved former President Corazon Aquino, your memories and great deeds will remain in our hearts forever!
Lyrics:
I have fallen in love
with the same woman three times;
In a day spanning 19 years
of tearful joys and joyful tears.
I loved her first when she was young,
enchanting and vibrant, eternally new.
She was brilliant, fragrant,
and cool as the morning dew.
I fell in love with her the second time;
when first she bore her child and mine
always by my side, the source of my strength,
helping to turn the tide.
But there were candles to burn
the world was my concern;
while our home was her domain.
and the people were mine
while the children were hers to maintain;
So it was in those eighteen years and a day.
’till I was detained; forced in prison to stay.
Suddenly she’s our sole support;
source of comfort,
our wellspring of Hope.
On her shoulders felt the burden of Life.
I fell in love again,
with the same woman the third time.
Looming from the battle,
her courage will never fade
Amidst the hardships she has remained,
undaunted and unafraid.
she is calm and composed,
she is God’s lovely maid.
Summer Time!
It’s summer once again! There are so many things we want to do, so many places we want our kids to experience, but time and money tend to stand in the way. Not to mention that being a working mom means vacation time accrued at work is most often used for illnesses.
So for the time being, we just enjoy our summer whenever we have one-day-family reunions. Yearly we spend our lola’s birthday in a resort, all of her sons and daughters and their respective families (including sons and daughters in law) gather together to celebrate. In this occasion we had the opportunity to enjoy expense-free summer outing. Hurray! =)
