Importance of insurance

A day after Christmas, a terrible car accident happened on expressway. Six vehicles collided where 4 people died on the spot. I heard in the news that the cause was zero visibility on the road because of the heavy smoke coming from burning dried  grasses on rice fields.

Car accident can happen anytime, no matter how careful you are but if  the people  around you is not responsible or careful enough you can become a victim of circumstances. So we have to be prepared, i’m talking about the importance of having health or life insurance. It’snot just for the car driver but for the loved ones as well. Especilally for the  bread winners insurance is very important for the future of his family. I experienced it myself, when i met an accident which i almost died i felt afraid for my family. I’m thinking of their future, what will happen to them when i’m suddenly gone. So after i have recovered from the accident, i immediately asked for insurance quotes and got myself a life insurance. My insurance is my investment for my family that whatever happens i’m at peace because i know their future is secure.

Someday..

Two weeks ago while shopping at the Mall, a beautiful sandals caught my attention. I tried it and it looks good on my left foot. I’m really prepared to buy it but when I tried the other pair to my dismay it didn’t fit on my artificial foot. I was very sad and disappointed.

While surfing today I saw these Christian Louboutin shoes at www.bluefly.com.

These are just some of the shoes I really miss wearing since the time my right leg was amputated. It’s been 7 years already. But i’m optimistic that one day, God will bless me and I will have a new and better prosthesis that I can wear any kind of shoes I want. :)

14 years and counting..

It’s our 14th year wedding anniversary today..whew! It’s been 14 years since we’ve exchanged marriage vows. I still remember those times when we’re so busy preparing for our wedding. From the wedding dress, wedding ring, wedding invitations, the Church preparation, flowers and the whole entourage! Well, it was one of the very memorable moments in my life.

Anyway, after 14 years I wonder how many more years we can survive our roller coaster married life. LOL!

Holiday travel trips

My friend and her family will have a holiday trip in Cancun, she told me that as early as last year she already checked some Cancun hotels online. The holiday season is often a hectic time of year. The rush to get your shopping done, figure out where you’re going to spend the holiday and how you’re going to get there can wind up becoming a huge distraction.

How about you, are you planning a Holiday trip? Here are some tips to have a stress- free trip this Holiday.

1. Plan Ahead: It’s never too early to book, as holding out for a last minute deal may translate to having to pay even higher prices. By booking early, you can actually save later. A myriad of holiday deals can be had in top destinations, and your pocketbook will certainly thank you for it. Additionally, try to book direct flights and avoid layovers. Doing so will reduce the chances of losing your luggage and having to deal the hustle and bustle of yet another airport. Be sure to factor in flight delays, traffic and inclement weather when making your reservations. Also, if traveling by car, make sure to fill up your gas tank well in advance of your departure date. The earlier you can set out on your trip, the more likely you are to beat the traffic.

2. Pack Essential Supplies: If you plan to hit the road, try to limit the load by including only the most necessary provisions; flashlights, batteries, non-perishable foods, maps, directions and a first aid kit are musts. Note that the Transportation Security Administration mandates that gels, liquids, gels or aerosols be in containers of three ounces or less. But feel free to bring along a few items to divert yourself, including books, CD player, iPod and the like. With kids in tow, these little extras will go a long way in keeping them entertained during lengthy flights or road trips.

3. Stay Healthy and Informed: With anxiety over the H1N1 flu virus on the rise, some travelers are wary of traveling on fears that their next destination might pose a high risk of infection. Be sure to stay abreast of health-related news pertaining to your destination, including the incidence of the virus in that particular area. Consult your doctor beforehand regarding flu shots and other remedies. As a safety precaution, it’d be wise to familiarize yourself with nearby hospitals and clinics. Airlines already have been stepping up preventive measures by reminding passengers to cover their cough and wash their hands thoroughly.

4. Keep Items Unwrapped: If you’re packing gifts, they must be unwrapped in order to go through security. Gift bags make a convenient alternative – you can easily pull out the items as needed and not have to worry about frenetically undoing five hours worth of gift wrapping at checkpoint.

5. Make Timely Arrangements for Home: Surely, you’ll want to avoid a scene reminiscent of the holiday classic Home Alone. Will you have to leave your cat Whiskers with the neighbor? Will you have to arrange for your uncle Tom to water the plants while you’re gone? Checking off these items before leaving will give you piece of mind and lessen the chances of an “oops” catching up on you later on.

6. Have Fun and Don’t Sweat the Small Stuff: Don’t let a flat tire, flight delay or any other unexpected inconvenience spoil your planned vacation. The holiday season only comes once a year, so why not make the best of it? Kick back, relax and relish some valuable time with friends and family.

Plans for the coming year

We’re planning to have our house re-painted before the year ends to change its aura and to welcome the New Year with a new look. I’m still searching for some Feng shui tips to guide us in choosing the right color and what are the “in” for next year.

And hopefully if money is still available I would like to buy new lighting fixtures for our living and dining area. I already checked the latest trends in home interior lighting, however most of them are not suitable to houses with low ceiling. Anyway, I’ll just try to search for more until I find the best lighting fixtures for our home.

I have so many plans for next year and it includes the making of new sites. I’m looking for more financial opportunities and hopefully the launching of my new sites will open the door for me.
