What matters most

Time flies so fast! few weeks from now we will be celebrating our 14 years wedding anniversary. And i’m already scouring the net to look for the best gift for hubby. Hmm speaking of gift, I wonder if my husband will give me a diamond initial pendant. I told him that I really like the Diamond Initial Pendant i saw in the jewelry store last Sunday. Well, I know it’s super expensive so i should not expect that he can buy it for me. Anyway it doesn’t matter to me whatever gift he will give, as long as he is always there for us and doing  his best to be a good husband and father to our kids.

How to stay young

This is a forwarded email, i thought of sharing it here with you..

HOW TO STAY YOUNG:

1. Try everything twice.
On one woman’s tombstone she said she wanted this epitaph:
“Tried everything twice.loved it both times!”

2. Keep only cheerful friends.
The grouches pull you down.
(Keep this in mind if you are one of those grouches!)

3. Keep learning:
Learn more about the computer, crafts, gardening, whatever..
Never let the brain get idle. ‘An idle mind is the devil’s workshop.’
And the devil’s name is Alzheimer’s!

4. Enjoy the simple things.

5. Laugh often, long and loud.
Laugh until you gasp for breath. And if you have a friend who makes you laugh, spend lots and lots of time with HIM/HER.

6. The tears happen:
Endure, grieve, and move on.
The only person who is with us our entire life, is ourselves..
LIVE while you are alive.

7. Surround yourself with what you love:
Whether it’s family, pets, keepsakes, music, plants, hobbies, whatever.
Your home is your refuge.

8. Cherish your health:
If it is good, preserve it.
If it is unstable, improve it.
If it is beyond what you can improve, get help.

9.. Don’t take guilt trips.
Take a trip to the mall, even to the next county, to a foreign country, but NOT to where the guilt is.

10. Tell the people you love that you love them, at every opportunity.

11. Forgive now those who made you cry. You might not get a second chance..

Thanks to SSS Philippines

I’m one of the many Social Security System (SSS) members who benefited from SSS programs. Aside from the salary loans i acquired, the  hospitalization/medication expenses and my social security disability benefits were the biggest help i received from them. The result of the tragic vehicular accident i went through was very devastating and the financial help i got from SSS was really a big blessing to us. Thanks to SSS Philippines, I  just pray that SSS will continue to provide more assistance to its members especially those victims of typhoons and other calamities.

By the way here’s an announcement from  SSS: for all members whose applications have been approved for the Salary Loan Early Renewal Program may refer to the mailing schedule of their checks. Visit their SSS official website at www.sss.gov.ph. You may also check your contributions and account updates through SSS online inquiry.
