Do you need direction for your life? Slow down, turn aside, and listen to God. What He has to say is more important than anything else you’ll hear.
Take a look at the story of Moses:
Moses was working his regular job as a shepherd when he saw a burning bush, just like the ones he’d seen a hundred times before. Only this time the bush was on fire with God’s presence. Moses said, ‘I must turn aside and look.’ In that moment everything depended on his willingness to interrupt his daily routine and make time for God. He could have said, ‘I’m busy,’ and kept on going. But he’d have missed his calling and the reason for his existence. He’d have missed knowing God and doing great things. But he didn’t, he ‘turned aside.’ God wanted to begin a new nation, with Moses leading it. The timing seemed strange. With God, it often does.
Forty years ago Moses was young, the product of the finest education system in the world. He had powerful connections and high hopes. But now he was a nobody, a lowly shepherd in a forgotten desert, rejected by his people and a fugitive on the run. “Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh?” Moses asked God. “Nobody knows me. I don’t speak too well. And my track record isn’t too good.” God said, ‘I know about your past, and it doesn’t matter. Your failure and inadequacies are no longer the ultimate truth about you. You are what you are, but you’re not yet what you will be; because I will be with you.’

Christmas day is just 37 days away so I’m trying to buy gifts for my godchildren, niece and nephews as early as today. I already experienced last minute shopping in the past and I don’t want a repeat of that. With early preparation and shopping I can choose the best items in terms of brand, quality, and price.
For this year I’m planning to buy Wii games and Wii accessories as gifts. Children these days are fond of playing Nintendo so I’m sure they will be very happy with these gifts. However I know these items are really expensive so I hope I’ll get more online opportunities in the days to come so i can buy them. Goodluck to me!

Are you facing tough times and troubles? Are you thinking of quitting? Here’s an inspirational story about George Frideric Handel, please read and be inspired today.
-0-
George Frideric Handel was a musical prodigy. At twenty-one he was a keyboard virtuoso. When he turned to composing he gained immediate fame and soon was appointed Kapellmeister to the Elector of Hanover (later King George I of England). When Handel moved to England his renown grew. By the time he was forty he was world famous.
But despite his talent and fame he faced considerable adversity. Rivalry with English composers was fierce. Audiences were fickle; sometimes they didn’t turn out for his performances. He was the victim of the changing political winds. Several times he found himself on the verge of bankruptcy. His problems were compounded by failing health. He suffered a stroke which left his right arm limp and damaged the use of four fingers in his right hand.
Although he recovered, it left him battling depression. Finally, at fifty-six, Handel decided it was time to retire. Discouraged, miserable and consumed with debt, he felt certain he’d land in a debtor’s prison. So on April 8, 1741, he gave what he considered his farewell concert. Disappointed and filled with self-pity, he gave up.
But that year something incredible happened. A wealthy friend named Charles Jennings encouraged Handel by visiting him and giving him a libretto based on the life of Christ. The work intrigued Handel, so he began writing. Immediately the floodgates of inspiration opened. For three weeks he wrote almost nonstop. Then he spent another two days creating the orchestrations. In twenty-four days he had completed the 260-page manuscript of The Messiah.
Thinking of quitting? Don’t! ‘Be steadfast.’
