The longest heart transplant survivor did not die of heart ailment, he died of cancer. Media report says that Tony Huesman who lived for 31 years died Sunday night in U.S.

Huesman, from Ohio, got his transplanted heart in August 1978 in an operation at Stanford University after he was attacked by a pneumonia virus when he was 18. Huesman founded the Huesman Heart Foundation, which educates children on ways to reduce heart disease.
