Yemeni Flight 626 crashed down

I read this breaking news from www.scoops2buzz.com , that a Yemeni plane crashed in the Indian Ocean. Yemeni Flight 626 is said to be carrying 150 passengers who are all feared dead after the plane crash. I suddenly thought of my brother who arrived the other day from Dubai, we’re really thankful he arrived home safely. Tragedy strikes anytime, either by planes or cruises we can’t really tell if we’re safe. Anyway, let’s just pray for the victim’s loved ones.

Turn your stumbling blocks into stepping stones

One of the reason’s why i survived most of the difficulties and trials i went through in the past is that i always trust God, and then to move on  i make my stumbling blocks as my stepping stones to start a new life.

So when life knocks you down don’t stay down, bounce back! Everybody stumbles or gets knocked off their feet from time to time, the winners are just the ones who keep getting back up! That’s what the Bible says, ‘In all these things we are more than conquerors.’ If you pray and look hard enough, you’ll find the seed of good in every adversity  (Genesis 50:20).

He's home

Remember my post about my brother’s homecoming? well, he’s home! He arrived yesterday and we’re all happy to see him especially his kids and “pamangkins.”

When i saw him i immediately noticed his new look, i even teased him that he looks taller and younger now. Actually it’s because he trimmed down, he used to have big belly. As i’ve mentioned in my previous post his life as an OFW was not easy, because of that he decided to go back home. Our parents were happy on his decision because they were too worried for him. Now  our parents were relieved from fear and stress.

But my brother said he’s not closing his door, he will try again and find his luck in another country. Well, I don’t blame him since life here in our country is getting more difficult nowadays.

By the way, i have to go now i need to buy a new  bathroom faucet, i can no longer stand the noise of water leaking from our defective faucet. Bye and happy blogging!

health insurance

There are already 400+ A (H1N1) reported cases here in our country, and it’s quite scary. You’ll never know if you and your family are safe outside your home, that’s why these days having a medical insurance is a big help. In our case I’m thankful that our company gave us the privilege to have free health insurance, not all employers can generously provided 100% medical insurance for all its employees.

By the way, there are cheap insurance available nowadays so why not consider getting one? Investing for you and your family’s health i believe is a wise move.

happy father's day

To all Dad’s in the world,

Fitness tools and videos

Husband expressed his desire to buy weight lifting equipments, he wants a barbell in particular. He wants to have lean muscles, a strong and bigger body built.  Then I told him about a site I stumble few days ago, it showcases Kettlebell fitness videos. It says a person can achieve total body fitness in just 20 minutes, 3 times a week. The site features testimonials of those who have tried using a Kettlebell and the workout sessions featured in the video. I think the video is a good guide for hubby to achieve his fitness goal, having his own fitness tool and doing exercises on his own does not guarantee he’ll get good result.

I don’t mind if i spend on these fitness tools and videos since i’m concerned on his health, husband has to be physically fit at all times because of the nature of his daily work and responsibilities.

Blessing in disguise

I’m loosing weight..yehey! Well, it’s not because of diet pill it’s just that I eat less this past few days. Actually it all begun after I suffered from stress and depression, i’ve lost my appetite or food cravings. Since then even though i’ve already recovered from the depression I can’t go back to my old eating habit anymore.

Reflecting, I realized our hurtful experience does not only happen to us  just to put us down, this could also result to something positive, it’s a blessing in disguise.

Free flu vaccine

Because of the ongoing Swine flu or the H1N1 virus scare our company president is so kind enough to sponsor a flu vaccine for all of us employees. Though it’s just the regular flu vaccine since there’s no vaccine available yet for H1N1 flu we’re really grateful for his generosity. The vaccine will be 100% free for employees while the company will shoulder 50% for our dependents. That’s a big help for us especially for our company drivers who can’t really afford.

Since i have three dependents i need extra money so I will not buy my fat burner this time. We need to prioritize our health and safety especially now that I read in the news that 29 students from a national high school near our place were diagnosed with flu and suspected to be caused by H1N1 virus. It’s really scary so we have to be prepared and we must take the necessary precautions.

Homecoming

My brother will be coming home on Saturday after a year of working in Dubai. We’re at my parents place when he announced the news, it was my sister in-law who told us while they were chatting yesterday. We’re all excited to see him and grateful that he made it through.

I know my brother had a difficult time while working abroad. It was not easy for him to find finance jobs during the first few months of his arrival in Dubai. It was only fortunate that my brother was with his brother in law, it was him who accommodate and helped my brother while hunting for job.

He just finished his one year contract and decided to go back home. The world economic crisis has affected a lot of companies in Dubai, so salary and benefits wise, he said the sacrifice is not worth it anymore. But his desire of working abroad again will remain he’ll just wait for better opportunity in the future. Well, I do hope my brother will find a better carreer and good future for his family at the soonest possible time.

Car security and safety

There’s no parking lot in my kids’ school so we have no choice but to park our car on the side of the road. We’re not sure how safe and secure our car in the said area so husband suggested that we should install a wireless alarm on our car. I told husband if it fits our budget we will buy the alarm, I also believe it’s not bad to invest for our car’s security and safety. I ask husband to drop by at different auto supply stores to canvass for a good car alarm and to compare their prices. Maybe by tommorow we’ll be able to decide if we could  buy the car alarm or not. Well, i really hope so.
